Plans and billing

WebDecoy starts on free monitoring. No card is required, and there is no signup-day countdown. Your one automatic 14-day Pro trial begins only when WebDecoy verifies a real installation.

Current prices and entitlements are always shown in Settings → Billing and on webdecoy.com/pricing. Those live surfaces are the source of truth.

  1. Sign up on Free. WebDecoy creates the workspace and example decoy immediately.
  2. Install without losing evaluation time. The account stays on free monitoring while you add a sensor.
  3. The install verifies. The first verified sensor event starts the one-time 14-day Pro trial automatically.
  4. The trial ends. If you have not chosen a paid plan, WebDecoy returns to free monitoring. Sensors keep detecting; 7 days of detail remain available.

The trial does not require a payment method. Ending it does not delete the organization or stop local and edge detection.

  • Stay on Free when you need current visibility for one site and are still learning the traffic shape.
  • Choose Starter when one production site needs more retention, webhooks, or simple automated responses.
  • Choose Pro when you need cross-IP actors, full enrichment, WAF integrations, or enforcement across several sites.
  • Choose Agency when many client sites should share one volume budget and reporting workflow.
  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Review the live plan catalog and your current event usage.
  3. Choose Upgrade on the plan you want.
  4. Complete Stripe Checkout.

The paid plan becomes active after Stripe confirms the subscription. A mid-cycle plan change is handled through the Stripe customer portal and may be prorated; Stripe shows the amount before confirmation.

From Settings → Billing, open the Stripe customer portal to:

  • Update the payment method.
  • View and download invoices.
  • Change an eligible subscription.
  • Cancel at the end of the current billing period.

After a paid plan ends, the organization returns to free monitoring. Review the Billing page before downgrading to see which retention, enrichment, and automation surfaces will close.

Billing belongs to the organization. Properties inside it consume the same monthly stored-event budget. The Agency plan pools this budget across its portfolio by design.

The Billing page shows:

  • Stored events for the current month.
  • Events sampled after the plan budget.
  • Property usage against the plan limit.
  • Current plan and trial status.
  • The next billing date for paid subscriptions.

For how sites are separated inside an organization, see Properties.
